MR. LEXX BIO
I’m not a singer, I’m not a deejay, I’m an ENTERTAINER”, asserts Mr. Lexx, the resonant, rolling tongued dancehall sensation formerly known as Lexxus who is on a mission to take Jamaican music to the heights of international popularity. Born and raised in the Mountain View area of Kingston, Jamaica, Christopher Palmer known as Mr. Lexx is a massive solo artist who is on a blazing pass of success in the entertainment business.
Mr. Lexx has been nominated for a MTV Music Video Award. In June of last year Mr. Lexx teamed up with Santigold and created a Hit called “Hold the Line” which opened new doors for Mr. Lexx. The crossover song has him at a very good stage in his music career. The Video was getting heavy rotation on MTV. The creative thought process behind the execution of the Major Lazor Video left the fans craving for more.
Mr. Lexx is all about perfection. The talented individual was discovered by a couple of representatives from a New York based label called Natural Bridge Records. At the age of 16 Mr. Lexx recorded his first single, “Own a Home” a tribute to independent women.
Mr. Lexx is also an accomplished actor and dancer. He attended Kingston’s Fox Drama School. He appeared in several plays. In 1992 he earned a best Actor award for is outstanding performance.
In 1999 his hit single “Full Hundred” was number one in 15 countries. He then released his album entitled Mr. Lexx, which had sold over 100,000 copies. Mr.Lexx has had the opportunity to work with many artist such as Lady Saw, Mr. Vegas, Elephant Man, and Santigold to name a few.
He was also nominated for a Grammy with his collaboration with Noriega and Capone Hit Single “Anything Goes”, which was release on the Red-Star album by Def Jam.
