According to a source close to the ‘Gaza’ crew, the singer was at Big Yard when she and a group of men got into a verbal altercation. The STAR source claimed that Vybz Kartel arrived on the scene and the men were instructed to beat her. Kartel on the other hand denied all involvement with the incident.

He Stated "I do not condone violence, especially attacks against females and children," The deejay said. "Gaza Kim is a young, talented singer who I hope will reach far in her musical endeavors. My deepest sentiments go out to her." This incident raised a lot of questioning on whether Kim was still a part of Gaza or not . When sources asked Kartel about the fact he refused to give a response. It was later confirmed that the 17 year old singer Kim was no longer a part of the Gaza Empire. Gaza Kim, in a release as well, had earlier confirmed being assaulted and sought the attention of a doctor. In the release, she claimed to be "traumatized" but is recuperating from the ordeal.

Kim who quoted as saying, "I’ve taken the necessary actions to correct the wrong that was done against me and legal advice is been sought. I ask my fans, family and friends to not only sympathize but empathize with me in my time of need."

Now to make matters worst it was bad enough Lisa Hype brought shame to herself as well as Gaza also her privacy was violated on all terms . According to Kartel, persons can look out for his newest member Gaza Slim and his protégé Popcaan. The Portmore Empire started in 2007 after Kartel's departure from the Alliance in 2006. The Empire have consisted of members such as Popcaan, Singa Blinga, Dosa Medicine, Lisa Hype, Shawn Storm, Gaza Indu, Sheba, Jah Vinci among others.
